4. From August 21st to 24th 2005, " Peace Mission 2005 "--The Sino-Russian joint military exercise was held in eastern China's Shandong Peninsula. Chinese State Councilor, Vice-chairman of China's Central Military Commission, State Council member & Chinese Defense Minister General Cao Gangchuan met with Five Defense ministers from Russia and other countries staying in the Hai Tian; the Russian General Director's group were also guests of the Hai Tian.
5. From August 18th to 19th 2005, the first meeting of the China-ASEAN Eminent Persons Group was held. China's Vice-Premier Qian Qichen attended and stayed in the Hai Tian.
